- Teacher Assistant/Early Learning/Part Time
Concordia Place has an opening for an Early Learning Teacher Assistant. This is a part-time year round position working mornings on Monday through Friday. Teacher Assistants assist planning activities for the group and help provide a warm, nurturing environment for children to grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Responsibilities of Teacher Assistants include: supervise and ensure safety of the children at all times; interact, initiate and encourage the children in activities during the day; and help children control behavior using a positive, appropriate, consistent technique.
Teacher Assistants must have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or have 30 general credit hours and have 6 credit hours in ECE.

SubstituteTeacher
Concordia Place has openings for a substitute Teachers to work on an as needed basis. Center hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Substitutes need to be available on short notice for day to day or short term assignments.

At a minimum, Substitute Teachers must have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a minimum of 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or child development. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. Salary

Concordia Lutheran Church - Part Time Youth Director Position
Purpose: The Youth Director works with the Pastor and Youth Ministry Team in planning, coordinating, and carrying out the Youth Program of the church. The goal is to help the youth grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ and engage their faith at ever deepening levels.
Skills:
• A strong Christian faith.
• Experience in Youth ministry.
• A personal commitment to Bible Study and faith development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with all ages of youth.
• Demonstrated ability to build respectful relationships with youth and parents.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Primary Responsibilities:
• In conjunction with the Pastor and Youth Ministry Team, coordinate youth activities roughly twice monthly (once monthly during the summer months) that deepen faith, encourage group cohesiveness, and support our mission as a congregation.
• Coordinate a summer service event to engage the youth in a service project.
• Plan and implement a Senior Youth program that engages the youth enrolled in the Confirmation program and High School.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the youth through trusted contact and engagement, providing a stable Christian adult example.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the parents of youth (of all ages), and facilitate all contact in a timely and efficient manner.
• Attend and be visible in worship at Concordia Church.
• Attend North side Youth Director (Chicago YMNet) meetings when possible.
• Recruit capable lay leaders to aid in the growing youth program.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours when necessary.
• Approximately 10-12 hours a week.
