Preparing each child for social and academic success!

Our preschool program, for children ages three to five, offers a safe and supportive environment for your child to flourish. Structured and meaningful activities help children comprehensively develop intellectual, emotional, and physical skills for academic and social success in kindergarten and beyond.

After children reach three years of age, one of the most noticeable developmental milestones is vocabulary and language. This is the optimal time for learning through teacher-directed activities and open-ended play. For instance, a small group of children can work cooperatively in the block area, and can practice strengthening a multitude of skills, such as: negotiating with peers; sharing materials; using engineering and math concepts; and participating successfully in classroom routines, like cleaning up and transitioning.

Our dynamic play-based curriculum incorporates the needs of each child and the classroom as a whole. Open learning areas for math, science, dramatic play, music, reading and creative art provide opportunities to balance both shared and independent learning experiences. We also incorporate outdoor play, yoga and Spanish enrichment into our daily schedule. Field trips to local museums and other places of interest, as well as, visiting teaching artists supplement classroom learning.

Collectively these core activities work together in a comprehensive and intentional way, setting the stage for self-confidence, by encouraging progress at a child’s own pace and according to each child’s individual needs and abilities.
